A reason why it might be for members only is because they possibly might want some sort of feedback on it to see how players react, like a beta tester for a video game. They also could be doing this to get some money, but who knows.

What i miss most of all is the old coloring style in poptropica. The new neons just doesn't hold the same vibe that poptropica had all those years ago.. It's just not the same =(

Thanks, but you couldn't have told us in the first post that it would be members-only? I'm grateful and all, but it's kind of annoying when you get everyone's hopes up for an old island release and BAM, it's for members.
This is especially annoying for me because I'm not a member, but when I asked for news on the old islands, you replied saying Mission Atlantis was coming soon, but of course you got my hopes up for nothing. Really disappointed in you.
By the way, if it's only members only for a limited time but coming to everyone in like a month like the old Golden Ticket thing, I like that idea because it makes me nostalgic, but YOU HAVE TO TELL US. You can't be secretly planning to do it, because then you let us down, but then you surprise us by telling us "Guess what?! It's available to you now, even though we didn't tell you before, so we look unreliable. Surprise!" and that's not a good idea.
For those discouraged about it being members only, don't worry. It will eventully become all players just like time tangled.
