I am not protesting the idea that you are making an age restriction. I'll admit, that sounds reasonable. But it just drives me nuts when people who don't even know me are just like: "Oh, she's only ten so she can't participate because she is not mature!" It drives me crazy!!!! I would restrict anyone under the age of eight. This makes me very sad. I do love all things about poptropica! I am an encyclopedia of poptropica knowledge! Whichever poor schmuck gets stuck in a room with me gets to listen to me go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on(insert 500 more "and ons" here) about poptropica! I just don't think it's right that someone who knows so much about poptropica isn't eligible simply because they are three years under the required age. I am a multi-tasker, and I can juggle lot of responsibilities with my schoolwork. What's one more thing? I know I've only been on poptropica since 2019, but I do a ton of research ad learn something new about poptropica's past and future. I check the blog every single day, and I've always wanted to write it someday! Please, would you just give me a chance to prove myself?
It's not that if you are mature enough or not, it's just that a lot of laws contradict anyone from under 13 years of age doing things involving giving information.
Well it's not about whether or not you are mature or not, it's just that there are laws restricting anyone under 13 years of age giving out information. I don't really know a lot about it but that is why.
I agree with you. As someone who has played since Poptropica started, I feel like someone's devotion to Poptropica should not be determined by their age or the amount of years that they played. I think that someone who has done the research like you should be able to have the chance to be a guest writer. I think that you would probably be perfect for it in fact.

This really isn't fair. Someone could be responsible and know a lot about Poptropica without being thirteen or over! Denying someone just because they are too young (and people below thirteen can still be responsible and mature, like me) isn't fair. Instead, you should have people fill out a test to see if they are eligible. Someone's age has nothing to do with how mature they can be!!! Please change this
Being responsible is tough, especially at a young age like 10. Ya sure you're brave enough fer' that?
Well you also have to think about labor laws. depending who you ask this could technically be considered an internship, and thus if you're under 13 (depending on the place) you may be breaking some labor laws. You may be mature, sure, but you need to take the law in effect.

Sorry bro, there's an employment law that forbids people above 13+ to get an online job. If the poptropica team violates it they can be in some serious trouble with lawsuits. White fox, there are a lot of things the creators have to think about before putting an age requirement. Just because you are mature doesn't mean any age can be it. There are laws and restrictions that fall under this so they have to make it 13 and up.

i understand your irritation, but it is not Poptropica's fault. there are laws restricting children under 13 from giving information, in case they accidentally give out private info, such as names and phone numbers.

It takes a long time and a lot of money to convert the islands back, so I don't think they have a specific date where they will all be back. For the costomizing button I'm not sure, but hopefully when all the islands come back.

Regardless of "maturity", 10 is incredibly young. The Poptropica team probably feels nervous even asking for people 13 and older, not 18 and older. Additionally, throwing a 10-year-old tantrum on a blog really isn't going to get you a spot on the team, even if they were considering it before...
Yes, the creators probably won't change their minds, but anonymous, there is a difference between a protest and a tantrum. When we heard about restriction to early islands, people protested, but they had a good reason. That isn't a tantrum, so please learn to tell the difference because there is a huge one.
Poptropica player. I'm not trying to argue and i'm not the one who commented this but, I wouldn't really call complaining about a legal age restriction a protest. I mean the creators probably have good reasoning behind the age restrictions (with labor laws and such). Additionally all the little kids coming down here and resisting it don't know why their is an age restriction telling them about it is the best option. Now I don't really agree with calling it a tantrum I can see where they are getting it from.
hi! ive been a huge fan of poptropica since its release (im about to be 19), and to be a guest writer for you guys would be a dream come true! i know almost every island like the back of my hand, and i could write some great tips on how to get around on them! also, i could write some great posts on fan favorites or even costumes and pets! poptropica is like a second home to me.
so...I'm obsessed with poptropica but...I don't like the new updates at all. I get that people are working hard on make poptropica better for people, but I feel like you should've kept the og poptropica as the og poptropica.

hi i barley found out about 2 years ago poptropica but I'm a huge fan I'm also a member im lazy boot you've actually put me in the blog before and i was so sad when you took the old school islands away i even did the glitch where you could get them back, anyways i will always be with poptropica i love them and you guys are doing great things and i would really love to be the blogger.

I'll answer your question. Laws restrict anyone under the age on 13 to give out information and to work. So if the creators let anyone under 13 to do this they could get into serious lawsuits.
